Behind the Build

How we keep your store fast and always online

You shouldn’t have to think about servers, hosting, or “downtime” to run an online store. That’s our job. But we get asked often enough — usually by a seller comparing DiGiMaker to a friend’s slow, self-hosted website — that it’s worth explaining, plainly, why a DiGiMaker store loads fast and rarely goes down.

The short version

Every DiGiMaker storefront is built and served as a set of pre-built pages, delivered from servers positioned close to wherever your buyer actually is — Rajkot, Surat, Mumbai, anywhere. There’s no single machine somewhere that has to “wake up” and build your page from scratch every time someone visits. The page is already built, and it’s already close by.

That’s the whole trick, and it’s why a DiGiMaker store loads in a fraction of a second even on an average mobile connection.

Why this matters more than it sounds

A slow store isn’t just annoying — it costs you sales. A buyer on a mobile network in a smaller town, browsing on a mid-range phone, will simply leave a page that takes more than a couple of seconds to load. They won’t complain; they’ll just close the tab and buy from whoever loaded faster. Speed isn’t a technical nice-to-have on your store — it’s directly connected to how many of your visitors actually become buyers.

What “always online” actually means

We don’t run your store on one machine that can fail. Your storefront is duplicated across multiple locations, so if one location has an issue, your buyers are served from another without ever noticing. Combined with the pre-built pages described above, this is what lets us say your store stays online — not because nothing ever goes wrong anywhere, but because no single failure is allowed to take your store down.

What you never have to do

Because of how this is built, there are things a DiGiMaker seller simply never has to think about:

  • No hosting to renew or configure. It’s included and managed for you.
  • No “server is down” emergencies. There’s no single server to go down.
  • No plugins to update. Nothing to patch, nothing that breaks after an update you didn’t ask for.
  • No traffic limits to worry about. A sudden spike — a shared WhatsApp link, a good day of ads — doesn’t slow your store down for everyone else visiting it.

Where this matters for your own domain

When you move your store to your own .com, the same setup travels with it — the speed and reliability aren’t tied to using a .digimaker.in address, they’re built into how every DiGiMaker store works underneath. Connecting your own domain changes what buyers type into their browser; it doesn’t change how your store is served.

We’ll keep writing about the decisions behind DiGiMaker here on the blog — not because you need to understand them to use the platform, but because we think it’s fair for you to know why your store behaves the way it does.
